Those early guys built their own stuff - your abilities can't handle doing that and finances dictate that you can't or won't pay someone .
Jack,I can do more than you think on my stuff.I'm just not a finesse guy, that I need some help with.I also now and always have done this on my own nickel, with the meager budget I have. Can you say the same? You always come unglued when I post my opinions when they concern criticism of NHRA.What can I say. And yes,Stock will become a class with guys money. These new cars are + or - $30K initial investment.we all can't afford that.So down the road it will probably become a country club atmosphere.Tea parties after a days racing and all that. And that's my opinion.

Hey Ed, I always knew that is was a game for the better financed. But it's still fun to park with the Big Rigs with the Imperial Palace, and I believe we have just slightly a more fun time. But hey, you know this game is "how fast do you want to go, how much money you got". Thats just the way it goes. How much money you got Matyas? Can I have some spare change that you don't want?

This is my buddy Mike Jeffrey's Diplomat. Not the most popular car Ma Mopar ever built. (Unless you were a police officer) It's a Slant 6 2 bbl motor. It was a national record holder for a while, and was a #1 qualifier. It will still run .8 under most anywhere without breathing hard. I know he has way less then 15K in it, and he has a ball every time he takes it out.

A second seminar is already being scheduled for the graduates of the first that will take place in early Summer of this year but is filling up fast as Billy's kitchen seating is extremely limited ..................not to mention his fridge only holds so much suds .[/QUOTE] Been there, done that ! Musta missed something though. I ended up spending 10 Grand to be No. 1 by 2 tenths, when it wasn't necessary. (better than spending 100 Grand, I guess) I DO think I need a refresher course though. Maybe in June....

Better watch out. Once I get my tax refund I can afford to start on that 1955 Cadillac Series 75 Limousine project for U/SA. Do they have scales that go to 5300lbs?

OK Billy, after years of staying in the 4 cyl closet I am "Coming Out'. Yes it is true that I drove my Omni to the Budds Creek NHRA points race, changed the front tires to some low profile sticky ones, went thru tech in Z stock. ran under the index in my Sunday morning time trial (most don't remember Z/S or sunday tt's at a points meet)and drove the car home that night over 350 miles. AND IT WAS LOTS OF FUN AHHHH I didn't know coming out would feel sooo goooodddd.
It could be a refresher course for me because obviously I went off track somewhere. true story and yes it was a stick, what else would you expect from me Billy do I qualify for a seat ?
