Can you set records and not qualify at opens? Garbarine is not on the SuperStock list.

i know in D1 & D3, there is no "real" qualifiying sheets becauce of being a national open, they do post sheet to let people know what everybody ran, cause in rd 1 its random pairing, now saying that, i do know D5, 6 & 7 qualifiy at opens and use the ladder in round one, once again, different deals in different divisions
Toby, the only runs counting is anything -1.20 or faster for a car setting the record, its a fun deal to keep up on even when a certain person is trying to keep stats right. |

Mr. Garbarine set his record on Thursday which is not a qualifing day at this National Open .Thursdays are test n tune days but the NHRA has allowed National Records to be set as long as proper Certification Team members are present .

i Don't know, it reads"Runs included in the AHFS database are limited to final qualifying runs (Q data) and all elimination runs (E data) at all NHRA National and LODRS events. (At events where class eliminations are run, all runs are included in the AHFS database. Only the first round of class is part of qualifying and therefore is part of the "Q" database.) The "Q" data and "E" data files are the official data gathered by the NHRA timing system and processed through the NHRA Information Technology department. NHRA "Q" data and "E" data are the only data files used for the AHFS." it say's nothing about open's

Divisional "Open Races" are not National events or LODRS events. Therefore, only runs of 1.20 or more under the index count toward the AHFS stats or HP increases. The divisional open series races are the only races left where a competitor can run "fast", within reason.
I simply do not understand certain racers who go to National and LODRS events and continually run fast for no reason. They only hurt themselves and other people who run the same engine combo. All certain racers need to do is go to an "open series" event and let it all hang out and it hurts no one..unless they go more than 1.20 under. Last edited by fredjohnston; 05-05-2012 at 09:18 AM. |
