Dad and I got ours from Keith Fulp at the Turkey Trot race in Gainesville. Fit perfect and price was right. Great guy to deal with.

The latest accepted tether by PW, YOU weld tabs on the header tube and coll. Now it really does not make sense on why you can't build your own tether from a spec!.The price is right, but it's NHRA's reasoning I fail to understand. gsa612

Angry Re: Collector Tether Question

guys,

IMO, this isn't about someone getting hurt, its about the all mighty dollar. It wasn't but just a few years ago that a muffler company offered to pay NHRA and contingency and all of the sudden, noise was a major concern, what happens? everyone has to buy mufflers, the muffler company quit paying NHRA and contingency and guess what? all of the sudden, noise is not such a major concern anymore, these guys can play it however they want, but that's the bottom line here......MONEY, whatever these guys don't pay out of what they posted in contingency, they will have to give it to NHRA. As soon as they quit offering contingency, this asinine rule will go away. If it was all about safety, the tech guys would be checking for bolts or lack there of in the collectors during tech. They sure didn't mind jacking up cars to check dates on flywheels etc.........

with all that being said, I put muffler on my cars back then, and I will put tethers on my car now and when I do buy them, I will purchase them from whoever is paying contingency..............

thanks for letting me rant on.............much better now

I have collector EXTENSIONS that attach after the collector.
Will I need one tether for the collector and an additional longer one to secure the collector EXTENSION?
Or will one LONG cable be sufficient from the header tube to the extension essentially sandwiching the collector?

Hopefully the answer has less words than the questions...LOL
