Jason, your response seems pretty harsh. If you are going to judge these guys as not being real racers, maybe you should take the time to outline your extensive resume for them. I know your Father races and is a good sportsman. I meant your car that you bought or built and raced. You don't have to agree with everyone, but you know, we all are pulling for sportsman racing here. It is Not necessary to be so obtuse about it.

James.....maybe I was a little hard on them but they don't race and they have an opinion on everything! As far as my resume goes I have been around and involved with stock eliminator racing for 20 plus years.I have owned and raced a number of cars including Jerry Bennets old 79 Chrysler Lebanon In stk elim.I am a past track champ at Indianapolis Raceway Park. I raced 13 Times last year in my current car a 2001 camaro SS and went to the et finals.I just finished the camaro getting it ready for stk and will be at bowling green at the end of the month at the sportsnationals.

Good to have you back in the stocker world then! I saw those guys on qualifying sheets and nitro Joe stats. I would say they race. I did not see you on there. I guess that explains it.
I also race as time allows. Stock and Superstock.

And your point being what........

This is an illustration of the lack of participation in the PRO classes....

I remember asking Carl Weisinger about his October "street car" shootout race many years ago, told me he felt "this is the direction the sport is going". When the one who holds the "entry gate keys" he will know best. NHRA needs to follow the money, not the nitro.

Jason, I do know Dan is a pure stock racer so yes IHRA, but ALMack has raced more nhra races than you have lately. He has a right to an opinion same as you do, that's all.

Just to set the "record" straight here's ALMack's credentials. He currently holds the NHRA P/SA and Q/SA 1/4 mile records.

P/SA 12.34 105.94 10/11/15 Alan Mackin - Bardstown, KY '84 Thunderbird Brownsburg, IN

Q/SA 12.26 107.41 05/24/15 Alan Mackin - Bardstown, KY '84 Thunderbird Bowling Green, KY

As for his slow qualifying time at the Indy LODRS, he is starting with a totally original '09 Mustang GT with 281 engine and his goal is to build it into a competitive NHRA stocker. It will be interesting to watch how the car progresses from a street car to an all out Stocker and with a combo that is not a cookie cutter piece.

I agree that everyone is entitled to an opinion,we do live in America.I am also well aware of Al being the current record holder in a car he BOUGHT not BUILT himself.I'm sorry but that doesn't impress me at all.Especially in a combo as soft as the t-bird.
