We had two large storms roll through. The rain has stopped, but I think we are done for the day.

I have a different take on todays racing. I thought things went quite well. With close to 600 cars I think the staff did an amazing job. Until the Hemi car oiled the track and put things on hold for a bit... things were going smooth. I had no issues with Class or qualifying.

As far as the starting line goes... no issues going 8.50's on a 9 inch radial. It could bite me tomorrow, but so far the track has been good for me. I'm just happy to be racing and I know things don't always go they way we like, but I would rather be here racing even with issues.

Well, they certainly need to start having NHRA people take care of the starting line and cleanup instead of the local tracks group. I liked the days of the starters knowing the cars. When good cars that never have starting line issues have issues....they would shut everything down and have look . Drag, re-prep, spray etc... We have lost all of that. That's all I am saying.....

Did Charlie Downings FSS/H car make a recorded pass today?

Did he not drive today in effort to gain the love of Erica Enders again?

Enquiring minds wants to know.

Rookie rent a help is WAY cheaper than Bill Floyd/ Brad…..it’s all about saving $$$$$. This is the same outfit that totally #@%*ed up parking at INDY in order to save $$ on ONE nights lodging for the few workers that handle the parking….

Well it's the only game in town, if NHRA goes the way of IHRA then what? Just sayin'.

Good morning all, they are drying the track as I type. We should get some racing in today, forecast calls for a 30% chance of thunderstorms, but who knows. Super Street round one first out followed by Stock.

Russ Campbell's Hemi car had engine failure and oiled the track in both lanes.
