I am not against some of the "trigger cars" getting looked at. Including mine.

Welfare? I, along with Alex Simmons could run just as fast or faster than Ryan. We choose not to, to help save the average. I think you're missing the point of my post. We know the potential of our cars. We don't need to be shown, "what's possible.

My comment was in no way directed at you...

Dean, I only saw the 2016-2023 427/470/492 get HP. That one is eager
to figure. I didn't see any earlier 427's get HP in Stock.

Mr PJ305 the -860 under was just there average over all , and if it is over -850 it gets HP . The amount of HP was off there fastest run what was in the -1.00 column . That's how I read the new system rules . I still wonder how many combos had an average of -849 ?

Stupid.

IMO, If you don't win, Who cares how fast you lost 1st Round.
What about Ben Line? He won Stock at the Lucas Oil Nationals with his 69 Mustang with a 428!

Tony,
With all due respect.
Why then did you pick a COPO FS/AA with an index of 9.40?
Maybe a AA/SA '69 Camaro would have been a better choice.
Just an observation and not a criticism.

I was a few of those -.6 and -.7 under runs (car N189), I was trying to help our averages, but I didn't know just how many runs more than .85 under had been made. Shame was I was at 7 races this year, but 3 were national opens, 1 was Indy, and the 3 divisionals were at the beginning of the season and at the first one I was troubleshooting computer issues and only had qualifying, at my second one at Lebanon Valley my flex plate decided to lose a few teeth and not start when I was the next car up in the staging lanes in round 1, and at Numidia I was dialing low 8.70s which would be -.70 under, but wound up on the breaks at the finish line seeing I was catching the other cars leading to me running a little slower than 8.75 so those few rounds didn't count. That actually happened round 1 against you Billy, I was dialed 8.72 and ran 8.78 so that run and my other elimination runs at the Numidia divisional aren't counted in the averages because I was just slightly too slow.

Honestly I don't care about the weight increase, I've been running the car heavy since I've had it to try to keep it slower, so I wont be adding any weight even with their hp increase. I think we need our index lowered in our class, or for them to make a FS/AAA with a lower index and weight break. Our natural class now doesn't exist, our hp to shipping weight ratio is 5.31, FS/AA is 5.50-5.99

Again I don't care about the weight added I just want to stay legal in stock, if we get hit again we'll have to weigh so much we won't be legal with our chassis certification. And like Tony said we could run that fast if we wanted to, just look at Indy, so could all the cobra jets, I know one cobra jet racer who has ran 8.04 at a national open, every car in our class is underrated, just there are more of us in the COPO than most the other cars so it's easier for them to play the game when they're the only one or one of 2 running their combo.

I hope they give us a FS/AAA with a weight break of 5.00-5.49 with a lower index, or do something with our current index.
