Tony, It all starts with letting out the clutch on time if you want to turn on win lights. ;-)

A lot of younger folks into NT / Grudge and No-Prep racing.
Not so much into these other classes. Cost and relatability are two issues.

I'm so tired of boomers saying my generation won't work. We can't afford anything, much less a factory stock combo.

Lot's of truth to this. My local dragstrip packs out every thursday night for testing and grudge, but when's the last time you saw more than 10 fans at a divisional to watch Stock eliminator? Not bashing STK of course, I think it's awesome and I make sure to spread the gospel to all my friends, they just don't get it or understand the history behind it.

A good deal of the "kids" at my local track will run Street or Trophy or whatever they can in whatever they have. They want to race and that's what they can afford.

Agree, IF the "kids" want to race they will race whatever car in whatever class they can afford. The issue though is they don't want to race, have little to no interest in cars no mind drag racing..

Ed, there is no problem getting a good crowd of "kids" at my local track. And when they're not at the local track, most of them have an old Farmall H or a FWD pickup that they're at a local truck-and-tractor pull with.
