I second what Jeff said. Why fix something that works for everybody but you? 1 Get out and actually make laps in your car instead of having a national event only car. If I recall right last year at the national open you made one hit to qualify then loaded up and went home. Why not stay and PRACTICE. 2 I know you have an adj. button for your trans break. That's good. Why not get under the car and adj the break. There are all kinds of things you can adj. to help your situation. Just get out and do them instead of wasting your time on the computer trying to convince others to change to better you.

Jeff I also know where there is a good working Ed Quay Camaro for sell, top qualifier almost anywhere.

I don't think going to a Pro Tree is going to help one's R/T. In actuallity, it will hinder it, especially a 4 tenths Pro Tree. If you want to allow deep staging with this new setup, then please tell me why it cannot be allowed with the current, full tree setup? The goal in each is to allow the chance for the slow car to have a better light. Also, if a Pro Tree is used, and there is a spot of any significance, the faster car is going to be at a disadvantage. Try it at a Test N Tune session if you don't believe me. The rules are fine how they are.

I think consistently practicing is the only viable option to make one's self better. Of course change is never a bad thing, but if it isn't beneficial to ALL competitor's, it isn't good at all. I get the idea of making a level playing field and I believe the current system is the best way.

Oh, and before anyone suggest's an "instant green" tree, let me just say this would never ever work! I guarantee you the fastest (ie. E/T and MPH, not according to index) car would win every time if they just considered the math and can cover someone at the stripe within a wheatfield...

Just my .02 cents.

Any slow car that deep stages also loses rollout and some free ET to be #1 qualifier.

Manny, I agree with leaving things alone as they are. But, I have to differ on the last part, about fast cars winning on an Instant Green. 2001 (I think that was the year) there was an Instant Green race at the Division 1 race at Maple Grove. One for Stock, one for Super Stock. Sal Biondo in Andy Boltz's GT/IA won, running mid to high 10's, against much slower cars. Of course, Sal is better than most of us. But it can be done with a slower car. I forget who won Stock, but I think it was Dave Lebrun (C/SA) and Bob Broadbent (F/S) in the final...I could be wrong about those two.

Then why are you asking for a change, or at least proposing it? No one just want to make such a major change "because." You must have some logical reasoning for proposing the move to make S/SS pro-tree classes.

I'm not knocking you for offering the opinion, but I would like to know your reasoning.

Evan

Try asking santa for a practice tree and use it instead of wasting your time posting B.S. If you are not cutting the lights you need on a full tree the pro tree is not going to help you or hurt your competion ! Alittle red too much this season Mr Don ???
