Thanks to all the folks that have congratulated me either via ClassRacer or Facebook. It's been 4 hours and my feet haven't touched ground yet. As my grandfather likes to say: "even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in awhile." I wasn't feeling too good after a couple of .050's and a -.023 in qualifying. Got my act together as the race went on though! The Volare, while not the quickest thing in the world, is awful consistent and did its part.

Special thanks to Tony Mandella for putting this deal together for all of the racers. For those of you guys that couldn't make it out here, we had great weather, a great track surface, and some good racing. Top that off with a pretty solid payday and it was definitely worth the price of admission!

P.S.
Bernie...I know what you liked about the cheering squad! LOL ;-)

Hey what kind of car count did you guys get and who is there? Tony what's your secret to getting your sponsors it seems you do really well at getting people to support your races. We are going to have a couple of races in Seattle again this year but we don't do as well as you with the sponsors.

Tony ~ From everyone I talked to it sounds like this was a very fun race and the track was well-prepped. I'm sure it was a lot of work but your efforts are very much appreciated. If I can help out again in the future, please let me know.

P.S. Congrats on your "closest race" awards. What's a guy to do, huh? ;-)

The main thing I want to know is whether the Bridesmaid has to wear one of those awful pastel foofy bridesmaid dresses. If so, will he show up wearing it at Pomona? No kidding, it would be worth the price of the ticket just to see it.

What do you think Leo? Should I call my tailor to see if he can get you in for a fitting?

Well thanks to everyone who has called, texted, facebooked, class racered, smoke signaled whatever to offer their congrats, thank you! Thanks to all the west coast folks that made us feel welcome. Hopefully I'll have a bunch of pics to post shortly as Jay had his camera clicking all day. I would like to offer my congrats to my son Taylor, he layed down a killer string of lights. I of course am a very proud papa! There is nothing better than seeing your kids excel and "get" the sport your passionate about. Look forward to racing more out here in Div. 7... Look out here we come!
