Car caught on fire inside the trailer, on way home from testing. Completely destroyed car and trailer.

I understand that, you understand that but if we're talking about changing rules for the ONE race that fall under these rules because guys who say they don't run Ihra because the format then what makes anyone believe people wont complain about an "exception" to a rule?

I don't know where and when this IHRA race was that no one knew anything about class racing,but doesn't sound like any IHRA race I have been to.

Mike, if you were at a race where you could have had a heads-up second round, (if we both made it past the first round) and before eliminations they announced there would be no heads ups, (and no need to weigh) how would you feel? Turned out the other guy didn't make it past first round. Still is not right. Nothing said about problems with the scales. Just no heads ups. That was not the only time they did that. A Memphis race & one in Texas. Evidently they just didn't want to bother. Wasn't like there were all that many to weigh. Don't think there were ever more than a dozen SS cars.

The officials were always friendly, pleasant people.

One race out of the year they have no heads up and people start talking like they never have heads up. I bet they have as many heads ups as NHRA does I see them all the time, and the ones bitching about the world finals couldn't qualify anyhow so they don't have to worry about it.

Come on now, I remember Rockingham 2009. It was LATE October. I remember them postponing it till a later date after rain and cold weather moved in on Friday night. But we sure tried to get the Sportsnational race in. They got the bracket series done, and pretty much finished the Sportsnational. Even though it was clear the Weather was coming, the priority was the bracket race and the Sportsnational. NOT the Tournament of Champions. Its all right here.... and You'll see my name in Super Stock

I race IHRA Superstock and have had heads up runs in SS/DM (Richmond Dragway)and SS/EM heads up runs @ Pittsburgh, Both were ProAm races.
