If Chevrolet would add a turbocharger to the option list of that 5th gen V6 motor that the new Camaro uses, it could be a great lower class stocker, I'd like to think...WJ

Theres plenty of companies out there that can set you up with a turbocharger or Procharger or small blower on top of any new Camaro. We went to Memphis in October for the LSX Shootout and there were many new Camaros there in any state of tune. The manufacturers were out in force showing off their stuff and a lot of it was on new Camaros. The aftermarket hit the ground running on this one. My 2 cents.

Danny, they have to be offered by the factory in order to compete in stock with the setup.....Best wishes. WJ

I might have to sell some toys to go with it...

But I guess the chance to run a car that will have half of the members here complaining about not being fairly HP factored would make it worthwhile...

WJ,,,,,,You're absolutely right. I wish the factory would also do this, for the V-6 and V-8 cars. It might give the CJs something to think about. I was just pointing out that if these new Camaro owners want to do something other than Stock/Superstock racing, there are certainly a lot of ways to pump them up.
Lets hope the sanctioning bodies will get these cars classified soon.
Take care,,,,,Danny Durham

I enjoyed talking with you. For everyone else out there, I guess that this is still a maybe. I will update as soon as I hear anything new.

I just wish chevy would have allowed them in the nationwide series. Can you imagine if one of those ever got out front at Talladega. All 42 could have drafted on that nose. Would have been great.
