[QUOTE=nhramnl;636512]You win, buddy. Jesus Christ! First, you insult me, when all I did was make observations about the topic being discussed. Then, when I respond by suggesting your comments might have been uncalled-for, you go completely ape-****. I didn't post my comments looking for a fight; I was just stating an opinion, as a 30-year, Super Stock racer (what you so respectfully refer to as a wannbe). And finally, maybe you can tell me what part of what I originally said was uninformed diatribe. Thanks, big boy; you sound like a real class act.
I think I misunderstood your last post. I hope you were identifying me as NOT a chicken **** racer wannabe. If that's true, I'm sorry for being defensive. |

I am a no name so let’s get that out of the way. Just my option but this thread was a bad idea. NHRA does need to do a better job at tech and should penalize cheaters. Penalty should fit the crime.
I think racers attacking racers is not good for anyone. This is really a small group in the scheme of things. We don’t need a divide. I don’t know of too many racers whose cars are perfect. Most if not all push to the limit the rules. |

Especially on Lower Class cars that are Carb CFM limited. I know more BUT: Better not say any more! I have made back to back testing.

I think, for once, I'll just keep my mouth shut.

I bracket race so I've been keeping out of this, but I will tell you that a 1/4 turn of a screw on a carb is an eat or be eaten decision on the track. I can't believe how people learn to fine tune these darn things like they do let alone "cheat" on the dozen or so variables that are in there to "vari" with. Fuel supply to the motor is so critical that not enough at high rpm will kill the engine.
