Re: 1965 Malibu Wagon build
Outstanding build. Something about a red Chevelle wagon Stock Eliminator car.

Update We raced it all summer . it ran the best of 12,69 Dave drove it most of the years went a few rounds. Got a new 3 speed for it sitting in shop! Had a great time racing Midwest class racer tour. Cant wait for next year. Want to say Happy Holidays to all my racing friends I meet this year.

Re: 1965 Malibu Wagon build
Charlie, You haven't told us much about the engine..All the trick parts?
You guys build it yourselves? Care to share some details? Cam specs? Final converter stall? , gear ratios? Thanks in advance

Re: 1965 Malibu Wagon build
Not any trick stuff. I built the 283. Stock heads nothing done to them but valve job and manley valves. Bullet cam John set me up with what I needed. Harland sharp rockers. pac springs, the 327 intake nothing done to it at all, Deano carb ....stock rods, block and heads. that came in the car from the factory! I did put a forged factory crank in it. the headers are $89.00 small tube dynotechs I made the collectors holley blue fuel pump, . powerglide 218 low gear. converter stalls 4600-4800 I put 556 gear in the rear. comes thru the end at 7000 rpm converters not right but we going to try a turbo 350 for next year. I would like a new set of heads for it. after it shifts I think I could get out and run faster. but it runs the number all day long cutting a light is the only problem with the car.
