"Live" from Hurricane Issac
The electricity went out for good about an hour ago. The wind is howling a bit and it's raining, but the worst isn't quite here yet.

163 stockers went down first run. Warm and sunny. DA 2060' by our guages. 18 B/SA cars. We are middle of the pack at 10.47 -.77 under. Wong, Marshall, and Downing's truck is #1 at 1.54 under at only 84 mph. Lots and lots of new cars! DRC should be posting as soon as they get all the indexes that were wrong sorted out.

Tim,
I would say it is, as they forecasted bang on a few years back when Katrina came through. Might be a short trip because forecast changes dramatically come Saturday. But who knows with the weather! All the good sportsman racing happens before Saturday. Class, teardowns, and the Hemi Challenge Shootout whatever they call it now. Then the Nitro gong show starts! On the upside, there is lots to do in Indy if you have never been. Mike Last edited by ChevyII; 08-29-2012 at 11:49 AM. |

I am 3 hours due west and the models are saying we could start getting rain Friday after noon through Sunday. We are expecting 3 to 6 inches. The storm will not act as others usually do. We usuall get a west to east pattern but this will approach from our southwest and go more of a northeast track. Indy may only get a small amount or it may drizzle all day. Vey hard to say now.

We are on hold now in Super Stock. I wasn't watching, but I think Stacey McCarty wrecked. I will let you know more when I hear. I saw the ambulance pull off the track slowly, so hopefully he isn't hurt.
