Check out the classification guide for the 2015 Camaro. LS3 motor, factory rated at 426hp, in the guide at 365. Also shipping weight is 3150, around 700 lbs from the factory shipping weight. This is a natural B car. Another enhancement from NHRA to make your day brighter.

I'm Sure It Will Be Classified As FS/ ?
Shouldn't Be In Regular Stock Elim. Classes.

Not an FS car. That is a production car, it has a VIN number. Would have to have a bolt in straight axle approved to make it worth building. It came independent rear from the factory. Not the same as the COPO options

This just another buy a new car and welcome to the top of the qualifying sheet. When is NHRA going to put the true HP that needs to be put on these cars? Even my 6.2 has 460 HP from the factory, bone stock,11.61 @ 121 mph. Not a race car!

How does this happen? No transparency on getting these cars in the guide at these low hp ratings and 700lb less than the factory shipping weight. The Challenger is just as bad. Who decides this, who's responsible? We need to ask these questions.

Then NHRA reviews it and what you see in the classification guide is the end result.
