What changed? Still a natural SS/KA car for the 350.

Below my shipping weight is an adder line highlighted in yellow that has the number 277. What is the adder line?
Any ideas?

It’s awful strange how an LT1 can now have a 300lb lighter shipping weight than an LS1. Never seen an iron block motor get so much lighter than an aluminum version! What is driving these sweeping changes across so many vehicles? I’m assuming there are some whiners that got in the ears of decision makers and now it’s affecting a whole lot of racers for no good reason.

So, how many cars are going to show up next week at Pomona and be in the wrong class???? How will it be fixed to make everyone happy?? Good luck to all at Pomona.

I may not race anymore, but I have plenty of friends that race Stock and Super Stock. I can just see the complaint list now.

Are the new shipping weights written in blue?

Is the LS1 stick no longer eligible for A/S?

Did this go away when the AA/BB/CC classes were used in the interim roughly 10 years ago, when new weight classes were introduced. I have always heard of a car getting "outfactored" from stock eliminator but never seen it.

BUT where is it written that there is a lower threshold to still be able to run stock?

If there is no lower threshold, then any combo with a class factor lower than 7.50 would be restricted to AA only, and adhering to the 7.50 weight calculation factor.
Your guesses are as good as mine
