I have not disrespected anyone on these posts.
Most posts were helpful valid opinions and others just cannot be civil.

Mark my words.....you will face a person just like you.
Harassing and being a butt head on a public forum while you advocate on an issue !!

As for racing Stock or what ever format out there to race!
That is my decision and you do not control that !

As an outsider who reads these threads out of general sportsman racing interest, I have two observations here:

1. Dan, Pure Stock is over. You either need to make your car fit current Stock Eliminator rules, or bracket race your car in its current condition.

2. It is pretty disgusting to read the disrespectful comments to Dan (on this thread and others) based on his choice of race car/class.

You can advocate for an issue all you want, you just can't expect everyone to agree and in this case most do not. That is what's wrong with this country, if you don't agree with someone you're a racist, bigot or in this case you said I'm a bully. You do whatever you please but I will continue to "advocate" against Pure Stock in NHRA.
All this about what it was like in the good old days doesn't change where we are today and we're certainly not going back. If the people that I have talked to within NHRA have their way PS will never be allowed. I guess I'm just a bully.

On interesting observation...!
When the open Spring/Duration rule became legal.
Cars got faster, needed more safety equipment, certifications, $$$$
Required more qualified Tech Inspectors.
Insurance rates when up.
Some tracks convert to 1/8 mile.
All tracks upgraded facilities to be safer, a good thing actually.
Winnings and Contingencies dropped.
New Technologies follow.
Fewer Qualified Tech Inspectors.
New rules, HP changes, new cars
Fewer Racers setting National Records.
Sanction Drag Racing Bodies go out of business or OTW.

Class Racing is like herding cats.
Management of details to put on a great show is an art and science.

Exactly! I also have a combination that was eliminated. I am not asking anybody to make a class for me, but if Dan does more power to him. But some of these guys don'twant him to do that. They would be upset if they had to go slumming and race a car like his. So they are the ones who are like the Democrats with their snobbish, elitist attitudes.

Sorry but sometimes I just can't help it. Have to comment.

Dan
In post 81 you say that you have not disrespected anyone and only people with childish immature behavior laugh at other people and that is being a Bully. In post 77 you said can see the Copo, Comp and SS guys all laughing at Cooter.

Does logic then not say the you are saying Copo, Comp and SS guys are all Bullys?
Sounds disrespectful to me.

You see my problem with the whole thing is NHRA already has a class to fit his car, I think it falls in K. But that's not what he's asking for he wants rules changed or classes added to accommodate his car like it is. If that makes me snobbish or elitist then so be it.
I do hate what happened to guys with IHRA combos, I really do but if I would have been in that situation I would take my lump and move on like you and not expect someone to change the rules to accommodate me. I can still remember many of the comments as to how IHRA was more racer friendly and the double races were the best thing since sliced bread, takes too much time away from work to run NHRA but now he wants to come play. He can advocate for it all he wants but I can be against it all I want to. Its called America.....
