Default 1988 Cutlass Winter Project

I purchased my 1988 Cutlass P/SA Stocker from Chip Johnson a few years ago. I have always had a love for these factory giveaway cars and after years of looking, decided that this was the right one.

After I paid Chip, he asked where I wanted it delivered. My response was to let him keep racing it.

It is a pretty good race car, but has not had many updates that I can see. We have done a few things over the last couple of years. Last year we did freshen the motor. The only major upgrades were aftermarket rockers and better valve springs. The other significant experimenting that we have done has been a search for a converter that works better.

Recently, I had the opportunity to ride around the pits in the car for the first time. This car has become pretty sloppy in it's old age! I spoke with Chip and made the decision to bring it home for the Winter.

Since I recently made the statement on here that some people might want to update their old cars to keep up with the times, I feel it is only proper for me to share this project!!
