Default I D help for sbc

Stamp on front is FC 208 SA
Shows 69 327
Block casting 3792870
Shows 62 to 65 327
Head casting 3731539
Date D 9 7
Intake 3844459
Shows 300 HP Intake
The block numbers are confusing me on the year.
Heads are power pack with square and triangle on front.
I'm assuming mis match of parts and if heads or intake are worth good money I would remove from block.
If they are nothing special they will stay on block.
Engine going into 1952 jeep.
Thank you for your input.

SA shows as 1962 Full Size car. If you are looking at the FC that is the prefix and does not denote the block use. Only the SA suffix.

3972870 Block shows 62-67 327

3731539 head shows 55 - 67 265/283

This makes better sense.

Jeff, are the valve cove bolt holes staggered, top/bottom or straight across?
If my memory is working correctly I believe anything after '59 is straight across. Staggered would be pre '59.

Staggered. There are nice shape Corvette covers with 1 small chip on 1 fin
Looks like Billk figured it out. 62 67 block 55 to 67 heads. So actually 55 to 59 heads by the staggered bolt holes
