Re: The mines are now closed (AHFS)
Hopefully they will also add a bit of incentive to the fire, like some points for #1 qualifier.....maybe clarify with the sportmans reps when a fast run motor needs to be pumped, sealed and then come apart.
Could be extremely fun, this needs a bit of work think Cypress Hill lyrics: so if you want to be a stock/superstock superstar, live large, A Big RV, trailer, spare no expense fast cars Qualifying for that bye in round 1 Eric

"All runs count for end of year average"
Averages just have to go away completely, what have been screwing up AHFS the whole time is that you could play the averages. They just have to come up with something smarter It needs to be about Drag Racing and not about playing a stupid game called protecting a combo!

Re: The mines are now closed (AHFS)
Oh well. I had heard about the big fix for the AHFS recently.
I have to say I'm disappointed. I had expected that maybe they would do something to stop all the 1000' runs, like maybe lowering the indexes a couple of tenths. It seems to me that this will only encourage more sandbagging, and I use the term with reverence. We've all done it, since about the time the FWD cars were added. Today, lots of RWD combos are about a second faster, thanks to technology and all the goodies added. I would have hoped NHRA would see this and do something appropriate . Somebody please tell me how this is going to help much of anything?

Re: The mines are now closed (AHFS)
One good thing about have a slow car (index wise) like mine is you don’t have to worry about hitting your own combo. 😆😆 lol somebody else did that for me years ago.

Re: The mines are now closed (AHFS)
Ok no mineshaft . So somebody with the same combo runs fast 1.00-1.25 all year runs up the average gets you both HP and never get taken apart ...wow ...I agree with Jamie

I think Bobby Fazio should have a video interview on this subject with Lonnie Grimm right here on ClassRacer.com
