Vintage Stick Shift Maverick Engine Build
New Powerplant for my Vintage IHRA Super Stock Maverick is being built at Green Racing Engines, Haxtun Colorado. NHRA Top Sportsman Ace Monte Green is putting together this 311 inch Boss 302, with Dart Block, Moldex crank, modified Boss 302 production heads flowing 355 cfm intake and 240 cfm exhaust, Sheet metal intake by MPG Cylinder heads. Car features a Jerico clutch type 4 speed with 3.08 low gear and 6.50 geared 9 inch Ford. I will debut the car in Ozark Mountain Super Shifters Stick shift series in 2015, although an IHRA appearance or two is not out of the question. Car went 9.84 @ 136mph in single four barrel trim, hoping for 9.70s with this combination. Dyno testing later this month should give us an idea of the potential.
