Default Coil-over Shocks - Spring Compression Tool?

I have AFCO dual adjustable Coil-Over Shocks on my Drag Car and was hoping you guys could give me some ideas on a Tool that would make it easier for me to "compress," remove and re-install the 2-5/8" OD Springs on my Coil-Over Shocks.
I have done the "Dual woven strap ratchet setup," but want to get some type of fairly inexpensive (if possible) Spring Compressor Tool that might do a better job. I've looked at the McPherson Strut Spring Compressors, but they are very "large" and overkill for what I need...also very expensive and look pretty cumbersome when working with a much smaller item like a Shock.
Hoping to spend less that $ 50, but would go maybe to $ 100 or so for the right Tool. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
