Re: 72 mustang question
Doesn't the stock racer in Arkansas with the 73 have to run the motorcraft carb and that car runs well under in G and H.

Re: 72 mustang question
Yea that's the one,Robbieracer you should try to run this combo low compression dish piston, open chamber AA heads ,.481,.490 canshaft and you already have the carb and intake.may have get another hood I don't think you can run ram air with this one.

Re: 72 mustang question
I have never built a Cleveland motor before so this is new to me. What class would this run in and why the change in hood? Would the car still run as a 72? Isnt the 4v 'Q' code car a Cobra Jet and wouldnt that be a ram air hood? Sorry if the questions seam stupid.
I will have to sell my Bracket car before i can build this one. I cant a-ford 2 race cars..LOL |

Re: 72 mustang question
One reason the 1973 mustang 302 only came with the ram air hood, if you run the 73 351 cj 266 hp combo no ram air hood. But it seems like a good combo to run and there are not a lot racers running it and you get run in G&H.And if you need a set of those small valve heads I have a set.

Re: 72 mustang question
Technically to run the car with the 73 combination you would also have to change the grill and marker lights in the grill. The 73 has a front end all it's own.

Re: 72 mustang question
Well that's kind of better than talking about D/E/F for a 72.

Re: 72 mustang question
Hi mark, someone offered me enough money for the car that I couldnt say no. I bought the 72 as a street toy but I was thinking about building a Class car out of it.Do you guys think I could do it for under 10k? I dont need a record setting car. Just one that will go under the index.
