32 Car Fields in NHRA D1 this year
The first race at Atco will be a 48 car field, the remaining 5 races will be 32 car fields (just like all the other divisions)
This update and the schedule is on the D1 site.

I read that the other day. That should get a few people riled up. The least they could have done was make that known a bit earlier. Unless they just made this decision. Should be interesting.

Re: 32 Car Fields in NHRA D1 this year
yea...I've been to a few races. I also know they have been TALKING about it for a while. All I'm saying is if they knew about it earlier they could have given guys more time to adjust. It really doesn't matter to me I will qualify anywhere. Providing of course I don't have any unforseen issues.

My first choice is NHRA, but if getting in the field of 32 becomes an issue, and you cant "step it up" for whatever reason, the IHRA is an "all run" format with no Qualifying at Pro-Ams and Sport-Nats. So there is an option if you need one.
