Thanks
Hey Greg, glad you enjoyed following the build thus far. Thanks you.

The powder is sprayed on with a static charge on the metal. They will usually just not spray any areas where the customer doesn't want powder. But if powder winds up in an area it's not supposed to they can easily brush it off or use a small vacuum to remove it before placing the part in the oven.

I didn't really want powder on the door jambs or rockers, but the body guy can simply sand the area and paint over the powder.

LPC Powder Coating in Hanover, PA. Normally only a one day job, but I had to wait my turn as well as they group jobs by color.

The car is still in the early stages of body work but sometime soon I need to decide on a color. Think I have it narrowed down to either a silver/blue color or I also have two silvers in mind, but trying to not do silver again if I can find the right silver/blue.

My buddy did another rendering with a lighter shade of blue.

So in the silver/blue family I've seen so far that look promising...

-2022 Ford Mustang Brittany Blue
- lincoln Chroma Crystal Metallic (same paint code as Brittany Blue)
- 1985-1986 Mustang Light Regatta Blue
- 1958 Corvette Silver Blue
- 2005-2008 Ford Windveil Blue
- 2012 Corvette Carlisle Blue
- 2007 Honda CRV Glacier Blue
- 69 Chevy Glacier Blue

If I can't find a blue it will be either one of these silvers.

- 2021 Ford Mustang Iconic Silver
- 2015-2021 Chrysler Billet Silver Metallic

While the car is away, I've been slowly pecking away at trying to get organized and cleaned up. One issue with a build like this is trying to not lose small stuff while the car is in the body shop. Ran over to Home Depot last week to pick up some inexpensive totes for the small hardware. Still feels like a mess with stuff sitting everywhere.

Careful Todd, every time I clean up my shop where it won't look like a bomb exploded in it, it takes me a month to un-organize it so that I can find everything......

All the aluminum pieces are back from the anodizers. One more small step forward.

Body work continuing at the body shop. Will post pics once there's something to show.
