Just got home from today`s DL/AP Memorial. I lost in the first round, so I missed out on the money, but that was about it. It was a picture perfect day, clear skies with a nice breeze. 108 cars, with the usual sharks, just the way it should have been, to remember those two guys. It was nice to see Rose and Colleen Peters and a pleasure to meet Jaime Lee (W.A.`s daughter). It is easy to see how this event could become a destination, with the LODRS next week and the National at Epping, following it. Barry and all those involved, deserve a big THANK YOU. Finally, NHRA could, and should, learn something from the people who helped put this together.

So many people thanked me for getting this race going. Maybe all the time I spent on here telling our fellow racers this was not just about the money. Then Dave's two Camaro's owned by John Grey and Gary Richards along with Alan's Endless Flight Camaro will take a missing man run down the strip. You put on a Great memorial race for 2 Great racers and the car count reflected that.
