Thumbs up Labour Day Recap

Well, the end of summer and the Labour Day long weekend has come and gone, and with it another chapter in the in the history of Can/Am is complete. The weather was less than 100% cooperative, but it could not dampen the spirits of the 35 racers and their numerous supporters who descended on Toronto Dragway Park (or whatever it’s called this week), all looking for a coveted Labour day win.
There were 35 entries both days. Saturday night racers and crew were treated to a delicious dinner, thanks to the support of JR and Monica Taylor (Drumbo Tent) and Kevin Dundas (Karbelt Speed and Custom). The tent, tables and chairs were also donated by our friends at Drumbo Tent. After sitting down to eat, and telling a few stories, remembering the drag racers credo…..to never let the truth get in the way of a good story, Can/Am members each received a draw prize, thanks to our many generous supporters who donated to the weekend.
Prizes donated by:
Dilts Piston Hydraulics,
Motorstate Distributing
Karbelt Speed and Custom
Wurth Canada
Smith Performance Specialties
Performance Improvements
Leggat Group
Maple City Tire
Saturday’s winner, in a show of the “old guys” still getting it done, was Bob Park in his GT/GA Camaro over Brian Clayton’s GT/EA Camaro
