Labour Day Nationals - Sept 3, 4

This past weekend saw a small (for us) but tough field of cars compete at the Canadian Street Car Nationals at TMP.

Tony Valerio won in a close contest with Vic Beleny’s Fairlane stocker.

Special thanks to Joe DaSilva for inviting us to participate and including us in the run for the toolbox. Tony came close but didn’t win the Matco tool box.

Plans are coming together well for our Labour Day Nationals.
Again, there will be a hot beef on a bun dinner Saturday night for all Can-Am drivers and crew.
We also have cash prizes for 1st round as well as lots of draw prizes.

As many of you already know, Andrew and Dave Stirk have organized a 2 day bracket bonanza that will run in conjunction with the TNT series and our Can-Am Stock/Super Stock series.
Andrew has planned the run order so that the bracket races will begin after First round of both TNT and Can-Am. Loosers from the first round are then able to join the bracket race by buying an entry ($50) if they wish.

The TNT – Can-Am race at St Thomas was a great success, so we expect this weekend to run as smoothly. (There are just 2 jets making exhibition runs in the evening.)

Tentative schedule:
Friday:
Gates open 4:00 pm
Test and tune 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm

Saturday:
Gates open 9:00 am
Time trials 11:00 am (Two sessions)
Ladder draw
Eliminations to follow.
Jets showtime 6:00 and 8:00 pm

Sunday:
Gates open 9:00 am
Time Trials 11:00 am (two sessions)
Ladder draw
Eliminations to follow
Jets showtime 2:00 pm

Run order:
Street et, Modified, Super Pro, Jr’s, Can-Am Stock/Super Stock, TNT

Car and driver - $15 / day
Crew - $30 / weekend

Hope to see a great turnout...maybe a record number of cars.
