What was the old converter acting like right before you took it out?

What does JW say about this?
JW Built the old converter about 5 years ago for a 355 stalled @5900 with the new 406 6400. I believe its driving though the converter now...but will print et slips!!! Called them and wanted to make the car more efficient without affecting the consistency.

Just put in in last night so i have not had a chance to speak with JW.

What would recomend for the combo?
