Default How old is ASRA?

ASRA may be older than I, at least, thought. I was digging through the archives (mess in the cellar), and I came across the 1978 New England Dragway Rule Book, which contained a class called All Star Eliminator. Eligible classes were all NHRA Stock, Super Stock, and Modified Eliminator classes, as well as the AHRA/NED Super Stock and Stock classes. BTW, in AHRA Stock, you were allowed an 850 cfm carb, aluminum intake, .525 lift cam (hydraulic engines had to stay hydraulic), any compression ratio, and you were classified by lbs./c.i.

There was no mention of All Star in the 1975 rule book, but there was an NHRA emblem on the cover of both rule books.
