Question NHRA please explain ?

dear NHRA,
several of your member tracks are promoting sanctioned nhra divisional opens where they advertise they will not be enforcing NHRA rules.

please provide the following information :

1. confirm the AHFS will not be in anyway in effect for the dutch classic / turkey trot
2. explain why this is being allowed, under what premise ?
3. explain to the other tracks who held opens why these two races get advantage on them

thanks in advance for your response.

We KNOW that the AHFS won't be in effect for the Factory Supercar Shootout, because of the special class rules. How would they penalize a combination during a "showcase" event?

Just who does the non-enforcement of the AHFS really benefit?

Jack, the Dutch classic "no ahfs" only applies to the factory showdown cars the way i read it.

Captain,

Perhaps you should send this to NHRA for real if you want an answer and then post the answer you receive. I do not think NHRA is going to come on Classracer an answer these questions.

Jack, the only ahfs that is in effect for opens is the 1.20 under rule which gets the offender hp the next Monday. I for one would not go to Gainesville to that open and run 1.20 under and not expect to get hp. NHRA would have to not follow the rules to do that.

So what is the effect of NOT enforcing the AHFS? Are runs under 1.20 "flagged" for the semi-annual review?

The D2 notice said "No AHFS in effect during this event". This has been confirmed at least twice. That means no "HP on Monday" to me. It also means that at least a few Class Records will be 1.20 or more below the index.
