Wow, time flies! Another year later, and I'm ready for another update. I went out to Dave Cech's shop yesterday to snap some pics:
![]() ![]() ![]() It should be getting some red paint in the next week or so. We had a setback, as I finally decided to throw in the towel and have Dave put new quarters on it. The ones I did myself would've taken more work to straighten out than just replacing them did. Now it will be right...if we had left the other ones on there, I would've always been afraid of chunks of filler coming off during a hard launch! Hopefully I'll have more to come very soon... |

Paul if you had to replace your front fenders who did you get them from? I've heard some fit right and some don't. Ed

Ed - The fenders are good ol' GM originals. They needed some love, but they fit right. The rear quarters are what were replaced...driver's side is a Goodmark, and the passenger side is from a new manufacturer that's an ex-Goodmark guy. Very nice piece, and Dave said it fit waaay better than the Goodmark stuff.

Looks great Paul. Keep the pics coming.
Ed, talk to Nightshade on Steve's site. He can line you up on fenders. I found GM originals for mine. I think he recommends AMD for aftermarket panels if you are not looking for NOS or GM used. I have bought a few things from him and the quality and price have been better than others. FWIW |
