Alan,
Good luck during the off-season! No rest for those in a performance based category, as there is always something to improve on or look at. Sean

Allan,
When the 327 out of my '68 Camaro was torn down for a refresh the cam looked like yours, eat up pretty bad on both sides of the lobes. The Schubecks didn't show any kind of wear as usual. It only had 170lbs on the seat and always had Gibbs oil in it. I was going to buy a billet replacement but there was a backlog on them at that time so I put a cast back in it. The car and motor are gone not sure what it will look like at the next teardown. My engine guy was puzzled as to what actually caused this condition. Jimmy |

Trend polished and recrowned the lifters. I just can't bring myself to put ceramic faced lifters in the thing.... Good to hear from you, hope all is well. -Al

Got everything back from Matt Steen's Victory Engines in Marshall, Mn. and started going back together.
Matt and Jason Verke are precision machinists that specialize in Stock and Super Stock engines, cylinder heads and intakes. They work on a one-on-one basis with each customer and are professionally confidential with your project. Matt Steen (left) and Jason Verke (rt): ![]() Matt's SS/K '66 Valiant 273 is a familiar sight at NHRA Division 5 and Midwest Class Racers events. To take an obscure combination like this and make it run hard gives a little insight to Matt's intellect and work ethic: ![]() Jason is a true artist on heads. He knows what works and is constantly tweaking. No cookie cutter head work, here! ![]()
