I am wanting to try a 2.75 gear set in my car but alot of people are saying that they won't live or last very long. The car is a 3200# bbc that has 621 hp and a turbo 400/with brake and a 14/32 tire. I am trying to change my starting line ratio but keep my rpms at the finish line about the same. Someone told me today as long as it is under 700 hp and since the car is not really heavy it should be all right. I just wanted a little more input. Thank you for the help.

I'm not real sure I'd try the average 2.75 set for a TH 400 in a 600+ HP car, at least not with a transbrake.

Alan, which ones are living with 600+ HP and a transbrake? I thought some superstock cars are using them? I see that Coan makes 3 different ones, and they have an Extreme Duty one. I hope I can get some answers.

Just call Jason(Coan) & ask him. He'll let ya know if it /what will live in your car.
