Default Same Car, 2 different Classes , 2 Different Drivers ?

Ok....Ive got to be missing this somewhere in the rulebook.

Can a car be registered and run in 2 different classes by 2 different (or even the same) driver ?

Say Stock AND Superstock ?

I know there are issues that would be problematic, such as hotlapping from Stock to SuperStock, and breakage taking it out of both.

Can someone point me to the page this is disallowed in the 2010 rulebook.

Or is it allowable ?

Cheers

Chris

Thumbs up Re: Same Car, 2 different Classes , 2 Different Drivers ?

No .one car and one driver and one class per event. IHRA rule book page 116. If you have 2 cars you can run 2 dif classes one driver ,but not 2 stockers or 2 ss or 2 8.90 or 2 9.90 or 2 10.90. two dif catagories and two dif cars.Oh and as of right now you cannot buy back if you lose 1st round.

I believe there is a sentence that says "once a car is classified it can't change class"

I think that is the AB rule from back in the Modified days.
