Frank,

We have the same setup. Set the stop type to inline for stop A to use an inline throttle stop and use stop A timers for on off times. You can use the stop B output or the RPM switch output set to timer mode. For the RPM set to timer, it will be able to turn on the shifter solenoid and hold for a specific time and then turn off if using a push type. For push type shifter, the shifter type must be set to "Air" type There is a diagram to setup the shifter in the link below depending on what type of shifter solenoid you have (Hold, push or Co2). To go back to shifting on RPM, you must use the MSD output and not the delay box according to NHRA rules. A 3 way switch can be used to this setup.

NHRA RULES "DELAY BOX/DEVICE
Permitted. Prior to use, all delay boxes/devices manufactured after
Jan. 1, 2003 must be NHRA-accepted. One delay box/device is
permitted; it may be attached to the transbrake, shift timer, and/or
throttle timer only. The wire to the transbrake (or line-loc) may
contain a splice that activates the two-step/launch-control device in
the ignition system. No other wiring shall be connected directly or
indirectly between any other part of the ignition system or any other
devices (such as data recorders, tachometers, suspension
components, fuel-injection system, etc.) and the delay box/device.
All wiring associated with the delay device, throttle-stop timer,
ignition system, automatic shifter, tachometer, data recorder, and
fuel-injection system must be fully visible, labeled, and traceable.
The rpm-based automatic shifters that are incorporated into some
delay boxes/devices may not be used for any purpose. The built-in
tachometer that is incorporated into some delay boxes/ devices
may not be used for any purpose.

Yes, you would wire the shifter solenoid to stop B but make sure you use a relay in between the box and the shifter solenoid. The 1st timer is set for the "on " time to make the shift. The second timer is set to hold the shifter solenoid on for a set time to make sure the shifter has shifted into 2nd gear (1-2 seconds more than timer 1 is good). The 3rd and 4th timers are set to the same time which needs to be greater than the 2nd timer and cancel each other out. These timers work the same as for the inline T-stop on timer A. Are you going to be at Lebanon Valley this weekend?

All good info. FWIW, you can set the 3/4 timers to 0.000 and they are just ignored.

Not the case ..... according to the dedenbear cc3 the 3 & 4 timers need to be set at a higher number than 1 & 2 so if you shift the car on time at 1.00 sec timers must be set as follows:
B1: 1.00 (this is the shift point)
B2: 1.50 (means the shift solenoid will stay engaged for .50sec)
B3: 3.00 (or any number higher than 1.50)
B4: 3.00 (must be same as A3 to cancel out second shift)
Connect one side of the shifter solenoid to ground and connect the other side of the wire to timer B on the CC3 box. You can also put a 2 accessory switch in between the RPM Switch, Delay box and shifter to switch from time to RPM shifts at the flick of the switch.
