I don't have a solution, but can add that the fuel gauge in my 2003 F250 6.0L has a mind of its own as well. The opposite occurs; after pumping a tank full, the darn thing won't register the change until it feels like it - anywhere from 5-20 miles down the road. In our nasty environment I've blamed it on a ground issue, but I'm not sure that would apply in your case Phil.

Regarding my post I purchased my truck new and it has over 200,000 miles on it now---mine has done the same thing since the day I bought it
