My Dad, a couple of friends and I went to Beeline that year. Drove all night from Kansas City to Phoenix, then down to Tucson where a friend had a house we stayed in, commuted every day from Tucson to Beeline.
The race in KC was a no brainer since the track is only about 17 miles from the house. Miss Jim Tice and the old AHRA. Unk
