Re: SST legal
I ran a couple of PTRA 7.0 class (.400 Pro Tree, deep staging ok) a couple years ago, and won the 2nd race out, footbraking my Stocker. Ok, so it was only a 2 round race, but I won! (Then they put the classes together in a handicapped Pro Tree bracket style deal, and made it to the semis with a broken rear!)
Bottom line, like others said, doesn't matter *how* you do it (R/T or ET), as long as you *can* do it.

Re: SST legal
Ron I would say looking at qualifying sheets that the average 10.90 car is around 130 to 135. Just what I have noticed over the last few years but can the guy running 150 judge me running 125 any better than I can judge him? I doubt it, he just gets to look out the front window.

Re: SST legal
Okay, help me out. What will it cost me to get in. I need a brake, a delay box and a throttle stop...right?
This is a 400 trans and a 12 bolt. I don't have a flex plate shield, do I need one. Everything else is dated good. |

Re: SST legal
Ron
On the flex plate shield I don't run one but I'm under 135 mph and still have stock firewall and floor. As far as the cost, that depends on you. Just guessing I'd say about $1000. up to $1500. doing it yourself. You will want a d-box with timers for the stop. Something else is the diaper, next year they will be mandatory ! Re: SST legal
I had no idea about the diaper, what a PIA. How many oil downs happen in 10.90 cars? Biondo has too many boxes, Mega this and Mega that. Which one do you like? Which T-stop? The car has a Dominator on it.

Re: SST legal
Jamie sothers has a dedenbear disk stop complete for sale on here sounds like a good deal, i like #1 stop stuff. you cant go wrong with a mega 450, but any box with t-stop timer will do....
