CSR is the best choice.
I've installed several, they fit as close as is possible, altho i'd recomend some holes in the firewall to access the bellhousing nuts and studs.

I concur with Tom, the CSR shield is the only way to go...we use them on a th400 in a SST car and on powerglides inboth of our S/G and S/C cars. In fact, many of the other types of shields won't clear the floorboards on a lot of vehicles.....Spend the bucks and get it right the first time!

another vote for the CSR Super Shield. Been running one since they 1st hit the market back in the mid 90's when they were CSI. Got one on a turbo 400 in my Firebird and had one on a turbo400 in my '68 Chevelle. Never needed holes in the firewall to access the bolts but opening up the holes in the retaining ring and the use of 12 point bolts makes the install a lot easier.

I have one ordered for 727/904 Torqueflite , takes 2-3 weeks. Summit initially said Sept delivery, but order direct or have drop shipped and 2-3 weeks!
Checked w/ couple of other manufacturers and they even recommended it for my Challenger! Hope is recert. with a 5yr initial SFI rating...but bet is not... Norris |

X2 on what Scott asked. I also told myself I would never buy anything of theirs again. Quality is great, but contingency not so great.
