That's my car. Owned by Richard Boyd in Nova Scotia at the time your pics were taken. He got it from someone in Quebec ...I posted pics of the ads Boyd bought it thru in the Canadian Old Car Trader a long time ago in this thread. This is the car we figure is Gene O'Neill's (Worcester, Massachusettes)originally. First run VIN stick car.
Boyd traded it to John Brown in Pennsylvania for a hemi cuda. From there it went to Spurlock's in TN and a couple more collectors before I got it. I still have the funny steel plate that was hanging under the trunk pan protecting the centrifical fuel pumps that were hung there @ somewhere. When you dig thru all of the layers of paint on the car you find the first coat of paint is candy tangerine. I've found this on several areas of the car.
When John Brown had it he ran it at a Chuck Smith Supercar Showdown at Quaker City Raceway Ohio. There are videos being sold of these Showdowns back then but I can't find one for the year this car was there. It did have John Brown's name on the side of the car and some dodge dealership.

Moose,

I called Bill Stiles,,,,,,No Answer,,,

In an article, Bill Stiles stated that he sold his BO29 Hemi Barracuda
for $8000 in 1973.

With;
* a prepped 727 Automatic transmission and a couple of converters,
* a Click-Shift Manual transmission, and Hurst shifter
* a couple of clutch packages
* 2 back-up sets of prepped Cylinder heads
* a complete back-up Hemi short-block
* a set of new pistons and rings
* plus a trunk-load of related parts

We Missed That Boat,,,,,,,,

1968 BO29 Hemi Barracuda Facts;

The first 'color' photo's of the 68' BO29 Hemi Barracuda
appeared in 'Drag Strip Magazine' (June/July 1968)

Pictures of the Hemi Barracuda were taken in February 1968
in California.

Originally Rich Thomas' SS/B car (out of Missouri)

Ricj had '3' different paint schemes.

This was the last paint scheme, before he sold it to Reuben Pribyl.
Reuben took off Rich Thomas Racing, and had his name lettered in the same spot on the door.

I believe Rich sold the car at the end of the 1971 racing season.

Not to be mistaken for Billy 'The Kid' Stepp's car.
