Re: Lucas Oil Schedule is Up on DRC
I guess the thing to do is await the National Open schedule and see what the opportunities for grade point acquisition are. 10 years ago, we had a points race at Pomona. They have 8 more days they can use there than the two national events use. That should be an option.

Re: Lucas Oil Schedule is Up on DRC
How about an IHRA race in Bakersfield?
If they can refuse a divisional race maybe they are not owned by NHRA Danny Waters - get on it IHRA must have races closer than 2000 miles to So Cal IHRA has to quit being an east coast and mid-west association IHRA give us a choice here on the west coast Hold the race in conflict with an NHRA race and see if we go to your IHRA race at Bakersfield or some NHRA race hundreds of miles away This is IHRA's window of opportunity - take it - jump at the chance :-) peace

Re: Lucas Oil Schedule is Up on DRC
Tracks and sponsors will follow the racers. No demand, no change. YOU are in control.

Re: Lucas Oil Schedule is Up on DRC
Sorry, "petition" was used as a verb.... simply put: If you want to see IHRA at your track out west, then take the time to let them know that.

Re: Lucas Oil Schedule is Up on DRC
Salt lake had a race the week after Fallon. That seems like a really good week if you want to get two races out of a long trip. No one can complain about not having IHRA out west if they don't show up to the events. Until the traveling racers actually show a commitment to IHRA out here why would the track owners/ operators take a chance to lose lots of money when their local racers will Support them?
The only way Bakersfield has an IHRA race is to become an IHRA track. Look at Tucson they only wanted a nitro jam and NHRA wouldn't allow it no matter what. Also, there are two IHRA tracks within 2000 miles of SoCal and I doubt there will be a scheduling conflict with Vegas again unless NHRA changes dates late. If you want IHRA out here so bad you have to support it so if there is a conflict you decide. We drove over 2000 miles to VMP instead of the 100 to Firebird, granted it was a once in a life time opportunity but you show your support with where you race, not coming on the computer complaining about how you are treated but continuing to support the craziness. Re: Lucas Oil Schedule is Up on DRC
D1 has the most races, and the shortest season. D7 has the longest season, the least amount of races and the most traveling between them. SoCal is where it all began and it seems like the first place it will end. Sad.............................very sad.
