Dick, Good question, I would say that 50% of the current SEAL force as some sort of PTSD. You would think that is would be a trigger point but is has not come to this.

don't know anything but whats on the newscasts---- cannot for the life of me figure what is/was going thru that guys head to make anybody do something like this---if he was pissed at 1 or 2 people yea maybe but to just go in a start blasting away gassing em and all I dunno shoot up 30-50 people WOW!!!! at least he didnt kill himself like the others always seem to do---maybe they can find out why he did it---prayers to all and his family too-- I'm sure they didnt raise him to do something like this---FED387

These guys that do this have lost touch with reality, in most cases they are acting out some part in their own fantasy with them as the good guy or bad guy according to their fantasy.
Almost all are psychopaths or sociopaths who have no empathy for their victims, the only thing that is important to them is that the fantasy is played out the way he imagines it. This guy dyed his hair red and has told the police that he was the Joker which may or may not be his fantasy, he may have told them that just to spoof them. He may not really know exactly why he acted out this fantasy but he will feel no remorse for his victims who he see's as "things".
If guns were banned these people would find another weapon to fulfill their fantasies, guns just give them a higher body count.

Prayers and thoughts go out to all the victims and their families.
