Here's a color shot of the Dog Gone Vette (on the left) in the pits at Raceway Park, Englishtown, NJ sometime in the Spring of 1971. It was a (presumably original) 427/435 hp big-block car before it met its untimely demise. ![]() M68

M68, I didn't notice the orange Corvette on the left until I reread your comments you posted...do you or anyone else have any better pics of this one called the 'Dog Gone Vette'...anyone here know if this car was scrapped or fixed.

Also I remember the driver being Timmy Smith not Randy but I could be wrong 1971 was after all a few year`s ago! lol, I remember the car up against the tower with the back tires spinning and I latter heard someone yanked the coil wire to kill it. I am not sure if that car was fixed or they built another one but I remember another corvette stocker that had Katic and Keenan on the side of it. |
