CCRA Race @ Piedmont

Coming up this Sunday, November 11th, CCRA race #6 (originally scheduled as #7)...Gates will open at 10 a.m....CCRA racers will be first one out on track at 12:15 p.m....per Kevin, please be ready early because he can't promise make-up runs...this event will be run with Piedmont's rescheduled Big Dog Unleashed events...General admission is $20...Kevin stated that there would be a great spectator crowd at this event because of it being their last Big Dog & that he wanted the CCRA Stock/Super Stock racers to be showcased in front of all those people...hope to see everyone on Sunday!!

Also, don't forget to pick up one of the CCRA 2012 t-shirts, prices have been dropped to $10. All t-shirt sales goes into points fund.

Today's race at Piedmont, sponsored by Speed Pro Fuels--Sunoco of Fayetteville, NC, had 47 cars make the 1st round call. Jeff Longhany secured him a spot in the Kenny Koonce Jr. Shootout race to be held at Fayetteville Motorsports Park next Sunday for winning the Dash for Cash. He had an .011 RT, ran a 6.830 on a 6.82 dial in a borrowed car. Thanks to Gary & Brandon Peterson!! Phil Hilling won the $50 Best Losing Package sponsored by Homer's Custom Paint & Body for his 1st round loss. He had a .009 RT, ran a 6.156 on a 6.15 dial...OUCH. Chuck Gallager won the $50 Best Reaction Time sponsored by Bordeaux Machine for his .000 RT 1st round. The lone semi-finalist was Cody Phillips. Winner was once again Ken Myrick with Steve Johnson getting runner-up.

Great DAY of Racing for those who missed the event. Hopefully we'lll have 60 plus cars for the finale at Fayetteville next weekend which is a double!! SPECIAL THANKS TO GARY AND BRANDON PETTERSON for letting me jump in their car after mine broke in the first time run.. Sure are alot of great people racing with us!!!

I just want to say I have only ran two races with CCRA and they where at Piedmont one last yr.and one this yr.driving Steve McCrearys Stocker Wagon and even though I seemed to be in the way with my driving skills I had a great time and hope to do more of this kind of racing in the future.
And everybody was real friendly and nothing like racing SS/STK................................

Thanks Tabitha,it was great meeting you too,the confussion was my fault,I should have covered the no. two up better,it's all good the Boss(McCreary) got the bye so all was ok.I sure hope to get to run alot more of these races next season,the Boss said something about maybe coming to Fayetteville this weekend,we want know till friday night,we are always so prepared,LOL
