CCRA Race #7 & #8

Coming up this weekend at Fayetteville Motorsports Park are CCRA races #7 & #8 (final weekend)...Saturday's race is being sponsored by Warren Engines of Clinton, NC...Stock racers Jeff & Joel Warren...Gates open at 10 a.m...Time runs at 11 a.m...Race immediately following...there will also be a Big $$$ junior dragster event ran on this day...Saturday night following the race, there will be a BBQ & live band thanks to Fonzie, Karla, & Dexter Currie as well as Auto Plus Service Center (The Longhany Boys)

Sunday will be the final points race for the CCRA 2012...this race is sponsored by Auto Plus Service Center of Eastover, NC...Stock/super stock racers Ed Sr., Mike, Jeff, & Eddie Jr. Longhany...gates will open that day at 10 a.m....cars cannot crank until 12 noon & we will begin running shortly there after...The Kenny Koonce Jr. Memorial Shootout race will also run on Sunday

Hope to see everyone at Fayetteville this weekend for the final double CCRA races of the 2012 season.

I have 4 t-shirts remaining for the CCRA 2012 season. The price of these have been dropped to $10 each. Below is a list of the sizes & quantities that I have left. I hope that we can get all of these sold this weekend. Remember, t-shirt sales money goes into the points fund as well

Weather.com is showing 60* on Saturday with a few showers & 30% chance of rain. Then Sunday is 53* with a few showers & 30% chance of rain. That's 70% chance of racing so hope you can make the trip from VA to Fayetteville & race with us!!!

Today's race at FMSP sponsored by Warren Engines of Clinton, NC had 33 cars make the 1st round call. Mike Longhany won the $25 Kenny Koonce Jr. Memorial Dash for Cash for his .5111 RT, 10.61 dial, & ran a 10.6161. Mike has won a Dash for Cash already this season so he still got the $25 prize but we had to go to the next closer to determine the 7th position for the shootout & that was Homer Carty. Homer also claimed $50 of his own money back for the 2nd time this year by winning the Best Losing Package for 1st round which is sponsored by his business, Homer's Custom Paint & Body. Steven Rowe received $50 from Bordeuax Machine for his .5017 reaction time during 1st round eliminations.

Unfortunately Jeff broke the transmission on his bye run & was unable to make the finals. Therefore, giving the automatic win to Richard Alford. We should all have our bellies full from some delicious BBQ & fried chicken courtesy of Fonzie, Karla, & Dexter Currie as well as Mike Longhany. See you guys tomorrow!!!

Today's race at FMSP was rescheduled until Saturday, December 8th due to weather conditions. This race will be ran with a 2 day bracket race. Rain date will be Sunday, December 9th. The Kenny Koonce Jr. Memorial Shootout will also be contested on this day. It will be the final points race for the 2012 CCRA season. Hope everyone can make plans to attend that race & hopefully we can have a lot better weather conditions. Thanks to everyone who supported the races this weekend. Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Today's race at FMSP was rescheduled until Saturday, December 8th due to weather conditions. This race will be ran with a 2 day bracket race. Rain date will be Sunday, December 9th. The Kenny Koonce Jr. Memorial Shootout will also be contested on this day. It will be the final points race for the 2012 CCRA season. Hope everyone can make plans to attend that race & hopefully we can have a lot better weather conditions. Thanks to everyone who supported the races this weekend. Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!!!
