Glidden in a Chevy...not too many pix of that (at least not when he owned it). Here's an even rarer photo...

I saw it run at the NHRA Grandnational near Montreal. This pic is from that race, the "S" on the water barrels stands for "Sanair" the drag strip outside of Montreal, actually "St. Pie. Quebec, Canada". The name "Hauler" was still visable on the doors. It was more orange and white than the red you see in the pic. Wasn't this car the runner up at Indy the year before with Herb McCandless at the wheel.

After the fact Bob said that he did not check the relationship to between the timing pointer and the harmonic balancer. He had the timing so far off the car would not get down the track. It has been a long time but didn't Lingenfelter run a 351 Cleveland in the Monza?
