Charlie, some Mopars suffered from "Nose Droop" too. This one at Ontario, Ca in '74.

And this is from a die-hard Mopar guy.......

Could somebody please post a photo of Ritchie Zul. He got more bang for the buck than anyone I saw in the 70's. He had a homebuilt 69 Camaro that had much bigger teams and budgets worried anytime he showed up. Then some jackwagons stole it.

He ended up with Grumpy's Camaro rental.

Heres the Monza at Seattle in '76. Whats interesting in this shot is that Zul's name is on the door,, but Lee Shepherd, standing here, was at this event. I don't recall if thats Zul sitting in the car,, it was too long ago .

Back in 72, I worked in a small store/warehouse on Long Island and across the street down a couple of blocks was Richie Zul's gas station. Richie would service our 68 Dodge van which we used for delivery and come down to hang a while when he brought it back. He did a lot of suspension and drivetrain work on my buddie's (who was the owner's son) 72 Javelin and I had done the engine so we hung at his gas station on some weekends and would drool over the Pro Stock car sitting there. In 77 I went to work in a local machine shop where Richie did all his engine building, mostly for customers, I got to do a lot of his machine work on some big name Pro Stock and boat motors he built. Richie was always very serious so he was frequently the brunt of practical jokes, some of which I still love telling.

Smile Re: 70's & 80's Pro Stockers

Good day all. The above posted photo of Doug Griffith's Duster was taken at the Division 1 pro/s circuit race in July 1971 at E.S.T.A. Safety Park
in Cicero, N.Y. I was there and took many photos that day that are posted in the 70's 80's pro/s group on yahoo.com
Great thread though.
Walt
