Hard to believe I've followed this thread for 3 years and no answer to the original question.
Have you ever gotten the race programs that match your car? I remember reading about bracket finals sticker? you had on it from 77 I think. Chris |

This is the decal that was on my car when Lou Vignona owned it in the early 80's
![]() This is the program that was available for that race held @ York US 30. I have only a picture of that program. I haven't been able to find an actual one yet. I think locating one of these would be key, as the drivers are probably listed in it. I keep my eye out for one, but so far no luck. If anyone has one or sees one advertised somewhere, PLEASE let me know. I'd even be happy with a copy of it. . ![]() Like M68 said, you probably had to qualify to be able to race @ this meet. You couldn't just show up, so my car must of frequented some local tracks on a consistant basis to be able to race at this one. For some reason, it's been overlooked & nobody took notice of it???? Maybe, because it wasn't a SS class car @ the time??? It always had the hemi in it, because Lou purchased the car turn key. He pulled the drivetrain, kept the motor for himself, & the trans landed in the trunk. And that's how Tim Hennessey purchased it. Funny thing, I ran the numbers on the trans a while back, & it decodes to a 1968 SS Hemi only trans. Quite possbly the original trans that my car was born with in 68. Can't say for sure, because none of these cars had the drivetrains serial numbered to the car liteweight |

On the Mystery Hemi Dart
Everything points in the direction of a Northeast LO23. But something here is still 'baffling', as I can't locate the Original LO23 that went to Mansfield, Ohio. . Last edited by Paul Ceasrine; 08-05-2013 at 02:32 PM. |
