Carpet and interior are finished, shifter mount, weight box, and bolt on weights are at powder coating place. The easy part is done......Now I have to get started on a engine and trans. If anyone has or knows of anyone with a 426 hemi stocker motor/short block for sale please have them contact me?

Tom,

That is one SWEET looking ride! Glad to see that you're going the way of the Elephant. Wish I could help you with who may have a short-block laying around.

Keep us posted please!

Tom,great looking car you are building as always. May I ask what you used for the side bar protectors? Are those the carbon fiber from Bickel or such or vinyl and are you satisfied? Thanks Gary

Gary, sorry it has taken so long to get back to you but I have been gone for a couple of weeks and missed your question. The carbon fiber bar protectors are from Bickle. I fit them with a cut off wheel and die grinder until I'm satisfied with the fit. Then I put masking tape on the bars for a guide, and to control any miss guided glue. I put contact cement on the bar and carbon fiber pieces let tack up for a couple of minutes then put them in place then tie wrap down for a day. Peel off the masking tape and remove the tie wraps and it looks great!
